I feel you on gifts. Years ago during kiddos formative years I had an aunt buy him an awful noise toy. Instead of worrying, I got her daughter's son a drum set. Let their toddler drive them up a wall. Kiddo never even played with their gift. But it warded my family against foolishness.

The last few years have truly warped online social interactions with me. I'm way less willing to be open or close online then I used to be. Too many crossed boundaries have put up a permanent barrier for me on any platform.

Yep its like none of them buried a loved one to covid, none of them listened to the project 2025 playbook. Or yet basked in willful ignorance thinking it would not affect them. Now that it is its exhausting seeing anyone say "I didn't think it would get this bad."

Still kicking congestion out, got my garden work done, I will be doing a make up Craft and Chat tomorrow afternoon. Going to paint Mao Mao from the Apothecary Diaries as we talk about news, politics and social issues. Wednesday at 3pm est.

I moved our container garden into our new indoor greenhouse. I plan to grow year round. Our tomato plant is yielding fruit. As well as our veggies greenbeans and spinach, potatoes and carrots.

I really wish more of the Americans who lived in enough comfort not to have foreseen how bad this would get...would have listened to the Americans who have always seen how bad things truly are. When you put our lenses on, you can clearly see the reality of this unbalanced system.
