Trauma doesn’t just stay in your mind, it sits in your body for so long that if left unhealed, can impact your cells and change your DNA. When we say that wounds are inherited, we literally mean it. So learn to breathe, rest, and let go of what doesn’t deserve your attention before it consumes you.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the American police system was literally built on the policing of Brown and Black bodies.

This is nothing new. We’ve always known that our very existence was a threat to the system.
