In my area (clinical research), to get to me (as an IRB member) the proposed study was already judged to have a potential to be clinically significant, was built on strong plausible science, and would be feasible to carry out.

The issue is ethical: undo influence. Compensation can lead patients to take the risks (inherent in any clinical trial) that they otherwise would not take.

Off-hand I think that concern is overblown. Doctors will still make final decisions and take ownership for those decisions. AI will be one of many resources at their disposal - albeit an excellent one.

NEW: There’s a disaster unfolding in Alaska right now. And no major network is covering it.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.

At least 20 are missing. No comment from any federal agency.

The only way we save our country is through our numbers.

Trump and MAGA don't have the majority, not even close.

Overwhelm them with numbers. Resist everywhere. They are too reckless, incompetent, and self-destructive.

Also, divide and conquer. Many fissures, especially around Epstein.
