TikTok is getting rid of the London staff who keep you safe from harmful, misleading and illegal content. When did they announce the job cuts? Eight days before those employees were due to vote on unionising.

We’ve signed an open letter with @tuc.org.uk and @cwunews.bsky.social:

Make no mistake, let there be no doubt.

We were elected to deliver this Employment Rights Bill and that is what we will do.

We won’t accept any watering down by the Lords.

In full.

No ifs, no buts.

Just finished Come and Get It by Kiley Reid which I guess includes some crises, but in which many women are extremely funny.

The TUC is proud to have supported this complaint at the International Labour Organisation. We have serious concerns about migrant workers in Saudi Arabia, including those involved in preparing for the 2034 World Cup.

On this underfunding: an FOI sent by the TUC found that the government spent just £385m on the entire 18 months of the Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme.

For context, this isn’t even half of what it spent on Eat Out To Help Out, which lasted just a month.
