I do recall jumping up - all flustered - and insisting that a lady (thin! but maybe wearing a baggy dress!) take my seat because at first look, she seemed heavily pregnant. She was not. And seemed very confused. But hesitantly sat down. While I shuffled off to blush down the carriage... 😞
