They're doing all of this for a sponsorship tool that basically no one wants to use because of the low quality of the sponsorships offered through it.

If this keeps up, it'll only lead to MORE creators giving up or jumping ship.

This is currently a cancer that is killing Twitch.

Not to mention all of the "Lurker tests" I've seen people do, which I also accidentally did myself.

I crashed out a bit on stream about the views being so shit at the moment, and people unlurked to comfort me.

My viewership TRIPLED, then got re-culled in the space of 5 mins when people re-lurked.

I commented something much longer on the main video, but thank you for making this, and it all makes sense but it still feels like smoke and mirrors.

My viewership has declined by almost the exact amount of mobile viewers viewing through the legit twitch app.

Broooo Stream Homework is SUCH a gamechanger. Its something that makes RPG's actually viable to play on stream cos you can level grind and gear up between streams, and then blast through a bunch of the main story on stream which is what will be the high points that the viewers are there for!

Ya gotta chase your bliss my dude! If a game is getting too stressful or too grindy, I normally do the boring bits off stream as "homework" and keep the highlights (Cool sidequests, main story) as an on stream thing!

Absolutely no shame in pivoting to what makes you happy!
