I only know because I’ve been researching the invasion of Sicily and some other battles in which my grandfather flew C47s, dropping RAF gliders. He crash landed at Malta during the campaign. Op Husky and Faustian I think

There are at Kew. I had a researcher pulling records about Malta and Sicily. There’s also some good books about the invasion of Sicily that draw on European records bc joint invasion, touch on Malta. I have a researcher contact at WWII history project if you want to know more
