It was exciting to see the frenzied bidding at the end of the auction, but we know it left a lot of people disappointed they were outbid.

Let's all help Rohan (13) help other kids in LA rebuild their home libraries.

Escaping into a book is especially important to children recovering from trauma. AND kids like Rohan need to see that their dreams of making the world better can come true, so they keep trying.

Rohan created Reading Among Ruins, an initiative that helps other kids who have been impacted by LA's devastating blazes via 'Free Book Shop' pop-up events around LA.

Rohan is a 13-year-old from the Pacific Palisades whose family lost their home and most of their belongings in the Palisades fire, including their treasured book collection. In the midst of his own grief, this amazing young man decided to help others.

If we haven’t received proof of your donation, we will send one follow-up email reminder before the February 9th due date. If we don’t receive your submission by February 9th at 9:00 AM PST, the item will go to the next highest bidder.

Follow the instructions to upload proof of your donation using the google form by February 9th at 9:00 AM PST.

When you submit the google form, it will say, “Thank you for your response. We all be in touch as soon as possible. The Kidlit LA Team.” This is the confirmation we received your receipt.
