Rhyming books are still very much relevant. However, most agents and editors are very picky when it comes to rhyme. I don't write in rhyme, bc I'm not great at it. Haha. But if you're really good with rhymes, go for it. Plus, you can always write one rhyming and one non rhyming version to compare.
