My biggest takeaway from my foray into baseball watching this year is that I may kill myself if I have to listen to another soccer or basketball commentator who calls their game like they actually hate the sport

Again, you don't show that in any of those plots.
I'm too lazy to pull the euro ones, but MLS last 5 years, 1200 mins+ 50 SOT save% has slightly better R value than G-PSxG (0.18 vs 0.13), but slightly worse than G/PsxG which controls for volume (0.21).

The average deviation in save % is 5%, the average deviation in saves above expected is 4 saves, the average MLS GK faces ~120 shots on target against a season, which is 6 saves?

Perhaps I’m missing it but I do not see anywhere in here where you show save % is more stable YoY or that it’s a better indicator of future performance
