Whatever the issue is within TPM, this was ALWAYS going to be the tactic from the NAF coalition government - cast aspersions, claim incompetence & demand Labour rule out potential future coalition partners. As predictable as the sun rising in the west. All it shows is that NAF are seriously WORRIED.

I have a few trees around my house and have found a few in my house. Only occasionally though. 😵‍💫

A very Kiwi tale. 🤪

My kid just got bitten on the toe by a weta that was in her gumboot #peakAotearoa
kiwinomad06.bsky.social
Is that a final result though? Can we be happy yet?

He hasn’t lost his Kiwi accent 😁

I’m sure I’ll do bits and pieces one way or another!

My Alison Holst Food Without Fuss that I bought for flatting is just as bad!

I was, but I stopped as it was taking up a bit too much time. I miss it though! I have been part of various choirs and in a few musicals over the years.

Yesterday in the supermarket there was a Moody Blues song that I knew very well. Sang snatches of it. Couldn’t resist.

It might be in one of my versions. I have one from the late 70s when I started flatting, as well as a more recent less tatty version. 😊

I am of the era that learned and sang this as a child/teen. But I have no relatives connected to it!

The Edmonds cook books we have in our annual sale seem to all get snapped up quite quickly.
kiwinomad06.bsky.social
That is old! We get some old cookbooks in too. Some have gone to National Library as they are rare items.

I wonder what the oldest one was? We have a few older penguins pass through our RC sorting room!

But I do. In Fifeshire!

I’ve lost my Scottish too. Just a journey there from northern England. Seems odd. Also lost my Channel Islands region which is sad. Have a Russian-German tiny bit. France finally covers Switzerland. Need to read about it. Seems a bit bizarre.

Yes, not liking losing Kaydee. Also a very big right-winger who has whinged inexorably about Featherston St is now on there instead of her. Relieved the ACT guy and VFF coordinator aren't there.

Inspired after our Publishing Family History presentation and workshops in August, I have written another blog post :-)

Sadly, we lost a Green councillor (but gained a Labour one). ACT didn't get in, and neither did chief cooker jackie Wheeler. But Hayden Fitzgerald, who is at least cooker-adjacent, was elected. Damn.

Provisional Council results are in for Palmy. Pleasantly surprised to see we have voted to retain Maori wards. Sad to see a Green member go- but glad the local VFF chair never made it on. One strident right-winger now on board. I hope he is able to collaborate with the others.

Here is Pikomanu in 1924- from National Library

I have had an interesting time following the life of my 2X-grt-uncle Joseph Beneda Scettrini. In 1928 I found him in Pikomanu. Where's that you ask? Turns out it was a settlement for building a railway link on the West Coast. You can go on a short walk from Kawatiri now through a tunnel they built.

You get all the luck. 🤪
