Nick takes a lot of heat. He just ain’t the player he was before he got here and the team needs to move on. However, he probably got the two most important hits of this series and gave them the chance to win both game 1 and game 4. He has my respect for that. I’ll always root for him.

Trump insists the city is burning down. A reporter needs to contact Portland’s Fire & Rescue Bureau and check into whether there are an exceptional number of fires. (FYI, there hasn’t been.)

The thing about Phillies fans is they embrace standup guys who are accountable for their mistakes. They love redemption stories. Look at Bohm after the “hate this fucking place“ incident or the Trea Turner bounceback. Hell, Mitch Williams was on WIP for years. Orion will be ok.

Also, not to be “that guy” complaining about the umps, but two missed strike calls cost the Phillies multiple runs. In game one, Hernandez never comes up with men on base. In the last game, Sanchez is out of the inning before Duran comes in.

If I were a reporter, I’d be calling the Portland Fire & Rescue Bureau and asking for statistics on the number of fires they have responded to. (FYI, the numbers are rather low).
