How things will actually pan out we will see.
Does Labour go into be with the Cons?
Do they try the Lib Dems only?

Currently it feels like they are further from the greens than the Cons (capital C)... but they are finally getting the 'being like them won't help you' message.
Looking at the comments - and this is only a very, very narrow view of what actual people think.

But I think that more people than most would expect think that Labour would rather die than be leftist.

But I agree with Henry Mance on that the Reform / Conservatives win is not a guaranteed win.
Latest YouGov opinion poll:

Reform + Conservatives: 43%
Labour + Lib Dems + Greens: 50%
Is it just me or is this kind of odd?
No one said that - just that it is hypocritical.

But I guess that unless you break the law you're not being hypocritical in your view.

Anyway - I am muting this convo now as I have my opinioin and you have yours and ne'er the two shall meet.
Oh god that is terrible.

And yes - you probably are right that it would be better if it was banned.

I care mostly for the professional stuff anyway - which is only once or twice a year (unless it's Las Fallas where it is daily)
What do you not understand of 'drink responsibly'?

Again - it's fine they do that. And people should be able to make their own choice..... but don't then pretend that you are telling people to drink responsible (as they also don't in a pub.)
Oof - yeah.... that sounds horrible.
I hate it when that happens.

Also - I don't get much fireworks in this neck of the woods in London. But then - I actually like the stuff.... so that may also be a different prism on it.
In SPAIN??? seriously?

When?
My complaint ther is actually the lack of fireworks.
Have ONLY seen them done by professionals.
(PS love las Fallas in Vallencia)
And again - even if they are 'marginally' over - they are over... which means that they should by no means claim the 'drink responsibly' because even by their own (industry) standards - they are not.

It really is that simple.
Again - the whole point is that no one is only going to drink that.
And this is a well known thing.
Yet they say that they abide to the drink responsibly code - which is obvious bullshit.

The point is not that they shouldn't sell this.
The point is don't be hypocritical while doing that.
It works like that in other countries as well.... so I fail to see why it wouldn't be able to work here.
Or make clearer rules and enforce them.

It REALLY isn't that hard. Specific days between specific hours you are allowed.. and other than that you get fined.
I'll then repeat - well.... creating a subscription where you send the person a tub of low fat cheese per day infers that they will eat it... which in turn is not going to be healthy.
And yes - they might even eat something else <gasp> - so you can hardly call that a health subscription.
a) even by your own calculations that is OVER the limit.
b) so - you're saying Brewdog want people to buy the dvent calendar and no other beers by them.... also that you can't go out and have a drink with anyone else if you want to be responsible.... yeah - that's likely.
I'd just stick to - just proper enforcement of rules?

The real problem is that we have loads of rules and close to 0 enforcement. This to me is the real disgrace - especially in finance there is a LOT more enforcement that could have impact.
The reason why Labour is imploding is because they have done again & again & again..... and at some point no one believes a single word they say.

You CANNOT vote for a party that does nothing but sell lies.
There is an 'easy' way to get people to vote for them again.
Do the things in your manifesto
Labour and tuition fees, then and now.

University tuition fees in England to rise with inflation from 2026.

Student debt is £267bn, could double in a decade. Due to low wages unlikely to be repaid. Young people burdened.

Most European countries don't charge uni fees. England destroying social mobility. Must abolish tuition fees.

Bridget Phillipson confirmed the plans for the next two years, with fees to increase automatically after that.

Lisa Nandy: "He's right to say that it is unprecedented in recent times that an entire group of away supporters have been entirely banned from a game"

Unprecedented in recent times? In 2023 Legia Warsaw fans were banned from a game at Villa Park.

One of the best ever.

Het is intrigerrend en moet er nog een paar keer naar luisteren (wmb is dat een goed teken)
I don't often agree with Henig - but here I do.

It feels very much like we are trying to get people to focus on an enemy... and we've chosen it to be China as it has values that differ from us in obvious ways. Therefore it is easy to paint them as 'the other you should fear'.
As it will be in the western news again this week over spying and trade, let's talk about China.

And in particular, two little-stated but uncomfortable truths. Of superior demand, and their actions to avoid being dependent on others.

And maybe another... of western loss of leadership. --->
