Spouse took the kids to the library. Sent me a picture of their #BannedBooksWeek display

Print copies are here! They've escaped Canada Post strike purgatory!

I'm keeping a paperback 'cause even though I cook these recipes a lot, I don't have them all memorized.

Sending 2 each to Library and Archives Canada and will scatter some among the Little Free Libraries in #NewWest.
A pile of paperback copies next to a pile of hardcover copies of the book *After the Feast*, which has a green cover and an illustration of a partly carved turkey on a wooden cutting board.

Thank you! Appreciate the feedback!

Just what you always wanted! Lol. We’re having a warriors themed bday party for the third year in a row…

Thank you, I’ll check out the ingredients list

Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I left out a lot of no-gos — I also can’t do avocado or fish. I can do a very small amount of prep myself but even grab and go typically needs to be brought to me in the morning

Might delete my post bc I’m starting to think I asked a truly impossible question!

(My dietary limitations are extensive and absurd. MCAS sucks)

Haven’t been able to tolerate hot beverages in years unfortunately. I miss miss coffee and tea! But I immediately sweat, very uncomfortably.

And grilled cheese is delicious! There just isn’t always someone available to make it for me

I’ll need to read the ingredients again — most of them unfortunately have corn, I think. Or gums. I don’t do well with gums (tho that’s starting to improve if I don’t overdo it). Perhaps just chocolate milk.

I was gonna say — if not an Obgyn, a pelvic floor physical therapist can!

Thank you so much.

And so true - life La burdens get a little lighter if we allow ourselves to be vulnerable

From my book, Lift the Mask, and the piece its title was taken from (this is a photo of the page from the paperback)
#Ubiquity

Normalize the
#ubiquity of brokenness.
Enlighten all to the
universality of struggle.
Lift the mask worn
by the apparently whole.
Each broken soul
will then find solace
in knowing it's
not alone.

to do. Overall an interesting look into a culture very different from mine while also being a look at womanhood in general #BookSky

Book 84 of 2025 - Heart Lamp by Banu Mushtaq, translated by Deepa Bhasthi — 2025 winner of the Booker Prize. I wouldn’t have picked this up otherwise and I didn’t enjoy every story but I’m glad I read it. The final story is 🔥 and with the translators note really pulls together what she was trying

I have a wishlist from one of my kids with items started by how desired they are — like, “LEGO set ⭐️⭐️” or “warrior cats figures x and y ⭐️x10” and it cracks me up but is also… really helpful and illuminating.

Oh interesting. So today I haven’t eat nearly as much as I usually do (which honestly isn’t that much to begin with). Grilled cheese went fine. Salad went fine. Rice cakes with Nutella on top made me nauseous for hours. I wasn’t sure if what I eat is related to the nausea or what. I guess I’ll sort

Can I ask what happens if you eat greasy food?

This is a good one, you should go get it! (I have it) #BookSky

It is 71 and sunny - gorgeous outside! And my kids are mad that I sent them out to the backyard 🤪

(It’s small. And paved. Was awesome when my oldest was 8 but now my youngest is 7 — not quite enough space for them to move around. But it’s outside.)

“If we assume, conservatively, that it takes 12 to 15 years to develop acceptable therapeutics for Long COVID, and then another 18 years for them to reach clinical practice, people my age — and yours — will have passed before they get help. We need to accelerate this.”

A group of 53 people with #LongCOVID joined a clinical trial for Vyvgart. For many of them, the treatment changed everything.

Then, without warning, Argenx canceled the trial.

Most of them have now relapsed.

They're calling on the NIH and HHS to study the drug: bit.ly/48l1Qp5
A photo Nicole Barrick, a woman in a pink KN95 mask, receives an infusion of Vyvgart. The text reads, "The Sick Times. Vyvgart brought us back to life, but the Long COVID trial was canceled. We are calling on the NIH and HHS to study the drug. By Clare Banaszewski, Nicole Barrick, Mike Bilik, Addie Davis, Mia Delli Gatti, Ellie Hayes, Roman White." "For those living with Long COVID, every ounce of hope is hard-won. This isn’t just about physical symptoms. It’s about the emotional toll of being given hope — and then having it taken away." - Vyvgart clinical trial participants
