At $4149/$6K with $1851 remaining. Surgery is Oct. 23rd. Any continued help is appreciated!

Apologies, somehow the original was deleted. I'm undergoing my 3rd urgent, non-elective revision spinal fusion this Oct to replace & extend my hardware. I'd appreciate any help in achieving this goal to ensure I have the resources necessary to recover safely & fully.

Yes. It would be a nightmare to name the ministers in the actual legislation. I just hoped that the online versions would link you somewhere that could tell you who the minister responsible was. 🤷🏻‍♀️

BC doesn’t seem to list it in the act itself, but there’s a separate table where you can look it up (either by act or by minister):

Laws Publications - Government
Links to B.C. statutes, regulations and other helpful information.

Example: "Minister" is all over the *Employment & Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Act* but undefined. In this case, it's the Minister of Social Development & Social Development. But nowhere in the legislation is that made explicit, as far as I know. www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca/civix/docume...

I'm probably being dense, but is there a simple way, when you look at a piece of provincial legislation, to determine which ministry is responsible for overseeing that legislation?

The MMR vaccine is one of the most stunningly effective medical therapeutics in existence. It’s also safer than most of your everyday activities. This is simply an attempt to stop people from vaccinating.

also, to be clear: there is no reason to panic

the FDA says no products that tested positive for cesium-137 have entered the US marketplace, and the levels found in the shrimp and cloves rejected at US ports are too low to cause acute harm

the recalls were made out of an abundance of caution
How Concerned Should You Be About Radioactive Shrimp?
According to Biegalski, consumers in the U.S. have no reason to panic. The activity concentrations found in the shrimp and cloves samples tested by the FDA—68 and 732 becquerels per kilogram, respectively—are well below the FDA’s intervention level for cesium-137 contamination, which is 1,200 becquerels per kg.

“The levels we’re measuring within the United States in these products are very benign,” Biegalski said. “We live with natural radiation all the time. Things like bananas and Brazil nuts have activity concentrations that are comparable, order of magnitude-wise. In fact, bananas are typically much higher than the activity concentrations found in the frozen shrimp.”

That said, cesium-137 is more toxic than potassium-40, the naturally occurring radioisotope found in bananas and Brazil nuts.

There’s no acute risk associated with consuming food that has cesium-137 levels comparable to what was found in the shrimp or the cloves. Still, repeated exposure to even low levels of radioactive material can increase the risk of cancer. In multiple statements, the FDA has explained the recalls by noting that the activity concentration it found in the shrimp “could represent a potential health concern” if someone were exposed to it repeatedly over a long period of time.

after the 10th radioactive shrimp recall in 7 weeks, i decided to do some digging

little did i know it would lead me to an underreported industrial accident that may have released an airborne plume of radioactive debris over swaths of indonesia
