I wanted to love it as much as I loved it at the beginning. I rewatched seasons 1 and 2 a few times. 3 to 5 however felt like a chore.

But #StarfleetAcademy as a direct spinoff feels like a breath of fresh air.

I said it before in the other place and I’m not going to hide my opinion re: STAR TREK DISCOVERY here either. I loved seasons 1 and 2. Once they went forward to the 32nd century - IMHO only to escape fans bitching about canon violations - the series became kind of a drag.

Today is the birthday of writer, artist, & editor Joe Simon (Oct. 11, 1913-Dec. 14, 2011). With artist Jack Kirby, cocreator of Captain America, Manhunter, Boy Commandos, Guardian & the Newsboy Legion, the romance comics genre, & more. He also created Brother Power the Geek & cocreated Prez.
