The Trump administration claims troops are necessary to protect ICE if local enforcement won’t. AG Weiser said local law enforcement in Colorado can help protect ICE agents without violating the state law that limits cooperation on immigration enforcement.

‪Weiser urged ICE protesters to remain peaceful to keep from playing into Trump’s narrative that troops are needed. “Do not engage. Do not escalate,” he said. “If we can keep calm, be peaceful and be orderly, we are going to be able to keep the rule of law in our Republic.”‬

Are Colorado’s 37 lawsuits against the Trump administration based on principles or political posturing? I asked AG Phil Weiser (D) how Coloradans should evaluate his lawsuits. #copolitics

President Trump says some federal workers “don’t deserve” to get back pay when the government shutdown ends. That could have a big impact in the Denver Metro area where the Federal Center in Lakewood has the largest concentration of federal agencies outside of DC. #copolitics

NEW: Colo. AG Phil Weiser (D) isn't optimistic that the Supreme Court will uphold Colorado's ban on conversion therapy for minors. It would be the third SCOTUS loss for Colo. on free speech/religious liberty grounds. I asked Weiser if Colo. is hostile to conservative Christians. #copolitics

On whether he believes federal workers should receive furlough backpay, President Donald Trump says "There's some people that really don't deserve to be taken care of and we'll take care of them in a different way."

President Trump is threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act and is sending red state National Guard troops into blue states.

Colorado Dems passed a law that's unlikely to stop that.

Tina Peters is marking one year in prison by demanding that the DOJ follow President Trump's directive to free her.

"Get off your asses and get me out!" Peters wrote.

She's serving a nine year sentence for tampering with voting systems in search of election rigging. #copolitics

Thank you. It was an honor to be invited for a conversation at Temple Emanuel about community, family, and truth-telling. I hope everyone had a meaningful Yom Kippur.

An absolute blessing to have @kylec.bsky.social speaking this Yom Kippur afternoon. It would be a shanda to lose his voice in the nightly news space.

Marx launched his campaign with the endorsement of Colorado’s most prominent Republican: Rep Lauren Boebert. “We serve a God who can turn dysfunction into victory,” Boebert said. “And I am not giving up on the State of Colorado.”
