In a letter to Gov Polis, the Colorado County Clerks Association requested a meeting before Polis decides on Peters’ fate and wrote: “Send a message… that this state does not abandon those who do what is right. Courage, integrity, and the law still mean something here.”

With respect, that's an absolutely bananas statement. It was Boebert and a small handful of Republicans that put Trump in that bind. That's not disputed by anyone following the situation.
