Financial reports filed (through Sept 24) with the Colorado Secretary of State's Office indicate the recall effort against DA Padden received just three donations: $50 from the attorney handling the recall, $100 from a retiree, and $1,000 from a California-based property manager.

DA Padden called the recall effort an "utter failure" and "partisan politics." Jurinsky recently said the effort was succeeding in creating a distraction for local Dems. The recall also got media attention from outlets that didn't question whether it had organization/funding.

It's not unusual for failed recall efforts in Colorado to not turn in any signatures, rather than turn in an insufficient number. But we once saw guys turn in empty Budweiser cases with 4 signatures in a failed attempt to recall a Dem House Speaker. www.9news.com/article/news...
