In the video obtained by 9News, another female inmate approaches Peters and is partially obscured by a door for approximately one second. Peters is then seen pushing the other inmate backward across the room with her hands appearing to be at the other inmate’s neck or shoulders.

NEW: 9NEWS has obtained video of a prison altercation involving Tina Peters. Prison officials say neither inmate was injured. More details: www.9news.com/article/news...

Colorado-based NORAD issues this warning that aircraft are headed for Greenland for a planned exercise, lest anyone mistake it for an American invasion of a NATO ally

FWIW, that was one of the most respectful fan environments I’ve seen. So many Broncos and Bills talking and tailgating together, not taunting each other. Appreciation for Josh and Bo. A combined chant about the Chiefs best left in the bathroom where it happened. Mutual respect.

That was wild.

Beautiful day for some playoff football

Pre rodeo stretch like the pros
January 17, 2026 at 5:24 PM
The kid did the thing. She rode a sheep at the stock show. She copied a rodeo cowboy’s pre ride stretch behind the chutes and he came up to encourage her. Kid was beaming.

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) is delivering his final State of the State address. I'd note interesting moments below. Live stream here: www.9news.com/article/news...

Additional details on the Colorado Court of Appeals hearing for Tina Peters
January 15, 2026 at 12:04 AM
NEW: Colorado Court of Appeals just heard arguments in Tina Peters’ case. Judges seemed to dismiss the idea that Peters was wrongly convicted or had federal immunity for her actions, but expressed deep concern she was over-sentenced.
January 14, 2026 at 11:13 PM
COMMENTARY: If Governor Polis gives clemency to Tina Peters, it may end up being his legacy. And it could depend on whether appeasing President Trump works.
January 14, 2026 at 6:09 AM
Polis repeated long-held positions on vaccine mandates, clemency for Tina Peters, and rooting out fraud in govt. Oddly, CBS credited Polis with legalizing magic mushrooms. Polis wouldn't take a position ("noticeably quiet) on Prop 122 in 2022 until after it passed. (DPost below)
January 13, 2026 at 12:21 AM
Colorado Gov Polis was live on the CBS Evening News tonight (East Coast version just aired). No news was made. Polis stuck to familiar talking points. CBS praised Polis as a different (more sensible/moderate) Dem. Glowing, but not the full "Marco Rubio, we salute you" treatment.
January 13, 2026 at 12:21 AM
CBS Evening News is in Denver on Monday. Tony Dokupil says here that Coloradans want Republicans’ “Big Beautiful Bill” no tax on overtime through 2028 reflected in state tax code.

“People want it here at the state level, too”

I haven’t seen polling on this. Perhaps they have it

Dear Broncos,

Thank you for this ski weekend.

See you next weekend.

Signed,

Colorado

2026 GOP-turned-Unaffiliated Gov candidate Greg Lopez is convinced that Dems’ efforts to prop him up and get him to the 2022 general election were actually efforts to hurt him. Huh? I tried (entirely unsuccessfully) to explain to Lopez what really happened. It’s a fun exchange.
January 10, 2026 at 9:37 PM
Colorado Dems meddled in GOP primaries in 2022, running ads designed to make the weaker general election candidates more appealing to Republican primary voters. It was widely reported. Standard political subterfuge. The Dems’ effort to boost Lopez failed. He lost the primary.
January 10, 2026 at 9:37 PM
Had a bonkers (and kinda entertaining) exchange with GOP-turned-unaffiliated candidate for Colorado governor, Greg Lopez. About whether Dems will again boost his campaign in order to sabotage Republicans, like in 2022. For those outside Colorado politics, a brief explanation…
January 10, 2026 at 9:37 PM
Lopez says he hasn't changed his conservative values or positions. I asked if he supports President Trump's retaliation against Colorado and had a tough time getting a straight answer. A shortened version of our long-back-and-forth:
January 10, 2026 at 2:59 AM
Colorado has elected one Republican governor in the last 50 years. Perennial GOP candidate Greg Lopez is leaving the party to run as an Unaffiliated candidate.
January 10, 2026 at 2:56 AM
NEW: As Douglas County's proposed ordinance to fine businesses for every unreported shoplifter draws criticism, District Attorney George Brauchler (R) says he doesn't back the plan.

He did not say that in his 13 min remarks at last month's news conference unveiling the ordinance
January 10, 2026 at 2:15 AM
This is being reported as if it's new information or a shift by Colorado Gov. Polis on clemency for Tina Peters. It's not.

Polis has long said he'll consider Peters' clemency case like any other but won't be pressured by Trump.

Gov's office confirms to me his view is unchanged.
