🌦️ Morning clouds and showers will clear up this afternoon. Highs in the low 70s in Denver. Should be dry for the Paul McCartney concert tonight!

🍃 A bit breezier tomorrow before a notably cooler Monday (highs in the low 60s) before a few showers return Tuesday.

Now Grand Junction’s wettest day in over *50 years*!

1.35” = wettest day since July 18, 1974, and tied for 7th-wettest on record.

And likely a bit more to go…

Wettest day in Grand Junction in over 20 years!

1.20" of rain in Grand Junction so far today = 15th-wettest day on record. And definitely more to go.

Grand Junction only averages 8.8" of rain a *year*...this is a big deal.

Showers tomorrow will mainly be in the morning before some afternoon sun. Brief cooldown and maybe a few showers on Tuesday, otherwise quiet.

Watching for a pattern flip and a potentially more active stretch in the 7-10 day window.

5:13p: A few lighter showers on the west and south sides of town, will have a chance for a few of these in Denver tonight.

Nothing too heavy, but def bring the rain jacket for any outdoor plans tonight.

Definitely leaning wetter/cooler next weekend for Colorado (8-14 day outlook). Good chance we're dealing with a solid mountain snow event, and perhaps our first Denver freeze.

Will keep you posted as always...

First Denver snow next weekend? Probably not, but worth a watch.

Two big troughs likely swing through Oct. 19-23. Euro deterministic (blue line on graphic below) bullish on a more southern track...ensemble mean (green line) says not so fast.

Worth a watch though.

1.19" of rain already in Durango and 0.51" in Grand Junction = more than half of both cities' rain deficits since July 1.

And a bunch more rain to go...

Those posting the 12z Euro 10 days out will be blocked and reported. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

(will have real thoughts on next weekend in a bit)

🌦️ Mostly cloudy and a bit cooler than yesterday, with highs in the mid-70s in Denver. Clouds thicken in the afternoon, with a 30% chance for a gusty shower after 3p. Most stay dry.

🌦️ Slightly higher odds (40%) for a morning shower tomorrow with highs in the mid-70s.

A chance that today was Denver's last 80°+ of 2025...average last 80°+ is Oct. 11.

My hunch is we still have 1-2 left, but at least a chance today was the last one.

Broncos weather in London won't be a factor on Sunday!

Solid chance these Western Slope/San Juans rain gaps get wiped out this week.

Heaviest mountain rain will fall Friday night-Saturday. Could be talking 3" rain totals in the San Juans.

NEW: Flood Watch up for the San Juans from tonight through Saturday for 1-3" of tropical moisture. Heaviest rain will probably come Friday night-Saturday.

Burn scars will have the highest flood risk.

🌤️ Warmer with high temps spiking into the low 80s in Denver and a few late day clouds, but we'll stay dry.

☁️ Clouds increase tomorrow and Saturday with a few isolated showers/storms in Denver (low 20-30% odds each day), with widespread mountain storms both days.

Today's furcast comes from the Skippy Jon Jones litter of cats - they're only about 10-11 weeks old! They're playful, outgoing and love people. This group of young kittens says tomorrow will be hot, but with some afternoon clouds.

Adoption info below!

Great stats from 9NEWS colleague Cory Reppenhagen: Denver still hasn't dropped below 40° so far this fall, and this'll end as one of our latest <40° falls on record.

Latest first sub-40° list below, via Cory:

Denver's average last 80°+ of the year is on Oct. 11. A chance tomorrow is Denver's last 80° of the year.

39° temp jump in Denver in 12 hours (41° to 80°).

Not bad!

Models pretty excited about a meaningful rain for the San Juans for Friday/Saturday, but most of the mountains should get a good one as well.

Snow levels will stay high thanks to southwest flow. Think ~11k plus.

#COwx
bianchiweather.bsky.social
Some potential drought-denting rain heading for the mountains. Leftovers from Hurricane Priscilla will lead to a soggy Friday/Saturday, esp for the San Juans.

🥶 Denver low of 41° this morning = coolest morning so far this fall.

Coolest morning since May 27 (134 days ago).
