I moved to CA and walked to the DMV. Registration, easy.
"Lemme get a license here too."
"This is an appointment to take test."
Instead of doing that I sent my car to charity and used transit.
Later during covid my old license was gonna expire and CA sent me one without taking the test. Yay covid

The real best outcome here is we eventually get another Howard Hughes medical institute, but there is a great filter between that and the current immortality delusion crossed with tax shelter

Though, on the other hand, anything that transfers billionaire money to a normal person is an ethical victory.

If you look at age, gender, party, and actuary tables, this house on average will have 3.2 democrats die in office within the first year, and 2.7 republicans do the same.

Now they selectively don't swear in replacements it's straight up -3.2 D.

Tolerating elderly incumbents has a real cost.

as a lark i grabbed the age/gender/party of this congress when seated, and actuarial tables (using probability of death in the next year)

The average outcome (i'm not gonna bother doing a distribution):
D's expected to lose 3.19 seats to death in the first year
R's expected to lose 2.73 seats

A grim possibility that I don't feel good having thought of:

Parents with personalities that won't cope well are more likely to not carry a down syndrome child to term, but autism is diagnosed after that option is closed.
