Check out this behind the scenes video kindly sent to me for Silver Bullet (1985)

This video sticks out as its the test head for Carlo Rambaldi's Reverend Lowe werewolf suit. Though note the suit's hunchbacked posture, evoking a wolf neck

This rocks! I always love seeing your masks in action

the same person also sent me these two images, fairly small and grainy but still!

Funny that this head looks closer to the final werewolf head than the ones in this infamous pair of photos.

The hunchback wolf neck look is interesting though, as it was a technique that was tried (and failed) in The Howling, and done much more successfully years later in Bad Moon.

Ive known people who have went full pelt into sad obsessive fandom crap, and without fail they were always people with absolutely nothing going on in their lives.

All the sad as fuck nerd wars over 'who would win, Star Wars' Empire or Star Trek's Federation', something nerds would get livid about.

And like...you know none of this is real right? I sincerely feel the way the internet rewards stupid discussions has made people dumber

(I brought up Who cos Im saving articles about its creature/makeup fx and made myself mad that one FX guy on it tried to have a practical werewolf mask and change o head made

But as it was the BBC they chickened out and ignored him so we just got a person painted green with fangs. Furious)

X Files never having a proper werewolf in all its years, a flaw shared with Dr. Who

(The 'Shapes' one was just cobbled up from Greg Cannoms leftovers, the mask legit was from The Howling)

I thought so too at first! I feel its partly cos of 2000s digital editing/compositing.

A lot of miniature FX work in 2000a blockbusters is totally mistaken for all CGI. Its a shame

yes, the security guard at his desk watching fuzzy CRT/CCTV screens in the haunted house made me think of the killer animal robot game series that wont be named

I've been on a kick of watching 1950s/60s monster movies and their various remakes. So far all I got left is Invaders from Mars and Body Snatchers.

Very funny that Blob, one of the worst of the 50s monster movies, gets one of the nastiest (and best) of the 80s remakes.
