It probably doesn’t seem like it given my age and sense of humor but Elvis is, aside from Bowie, the most important entertainer of my life. The first laugh I ever remember gettin was doing an Elvis impression.

All I’ve really ever wanted to be is Elvis or Bowie.

Decided to watch The Excorcist this afternoon because I’ve only seen it when I was a teen and immediately afterwards was told one of the jesuits who taught me was in the movie and then went “well that sucks” and never tried it again.

The thing about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is that I don’t like it and I don’t get why it is so lauded but whenever I see it I go “oh okay that’s where this genre came from” and you have to respect it. Tobe Hooper kind of sucks but the man made a whole new movie world to play in. Good for him.

I don’t mean this to be glib, but Jack Birdbath is one of my top 5 favorite characters in any medium of all time and Tony Fitzpatrick got to shine during Patriot’s brief run. What a stunning performance he gives.

Watching the Danny McBride Halloween and it’s great how much they get this series and decide as it goes on to the next two movies to lean way, way the hell into it and make it a farce which is *chef’s kiss* exactly how it should go.
