Seems to be game-dependant. Switch 2 Deltarune doesn't show up at all in the Switch 1's VGC menu, as with the S2-only Cyberpunk, but Hades II gave me this message. Couldn't tell you what content is missing (I'd have to unlink my kid's Lite), but seems like it should be doable.

I never bothered with the anime, but mainlined everything available at the time of the manga (right up until the final arc, iirc) in one sitting
