his speech pattern has been inconsistent since forever across tf media, this isn't the first or last time it'll happen.
i personally like the cartoon speech but i'm of course biased since i enjoy any way he talks so don't mind me and my headcanons 🤭💙

for a battle moment like this, it feels more fitting for him to get his points across quickly with his robotic pattern rather than his normal calm and calculated way of speaking. he wasn't there to do nuanced conversation, he wanted an answer.

people seem to dislike how soundwave's speech changed in skybound, and i can understand it as a critique towards the writing.

however here's my take: soundwave will choose a speech pattern depending on who he's surrounded by or how he wants to present himself in the moment 👇
