There appears to be an early growing consensus around CD 1. But when you look at the others it's pretty heartbreaking to imagine you'd never hear some of those tracks ever again!!

It goes without saying that we all need a Disco compilation in our lives, but this latest offering from NOW music got me thinking. If you were marooned on a deserted island with just one of these discs for musical company, which one would you be hoping had been saved in the shipwreck?

It's an amazing album. I love listening to the textures and tones and thinking of how that music crossed the Atlantic to inspire a whole host of electro and techno artists. Wonderful stuff x
