As an aside -- any company trying to talk about privacy that not only implements AI moderation _on private direct messages_ and makes that decision final, and unappealable, but also requires you *legal name* in all support correspondences is obviously not a good company

Well, after appealing an automated account freeze multiple times without any replies from support, looks like Telegram just decided to fully delete our account and ban our phone number forever.

Still got a signal though, if anyone wants to reach out.

Slide film is so cool. It feels like magic to look at.

A Print File film sheet filled with a roll of Kodak Ektachrome slide film sitting on top of a light emitting source (our monitor). The film is still very curled, causing the top of the sheet to curl and not sit flat at all.

There are 30 visible photographs on display, plus a few latent images at the beginning of the roll. The film itself is mostly cut into 5 exposure lengths, except for the beginning of the roll (which is only 4 plus a short leader) and the last set (which is 3 long because we mis-cut. The remaining 7 shots from this roll are not shown, as they didn't fit on this page, as this page is only 35 frames for some reason, despite 35mm film being available as 36 exposures, with up to 39 or event 40 exposures if you load in complete darkness.

Picked up an old Beseler 23cii XL enlarger the other week at an estate sale. Finally got it back together -- it's gonna be a lot of fun once we get everything else set up around it :3

A beseler 23cii XL photo enlarger showing a white rectangle of light, which if a photo was placed in the light path, would be an image instead. It is plugged directly into a wall outlet for testing, as we have yet to acquire a timer for it.

An image of a live oak projected onto the baseboard of the enlarger. It is a color reversal slide, so the image is not perfectly in focus, due to the plastic slide mount holding the 35mm carrier open, as it was not designed to hold these. It does however, make a good test image, to check focus adjustments, as it is what we had on hand.

We are fully aware that making direct positive prints is fairly impossible.

The slide of the live oak projected at the largest size this enlarger will make it while staying in focus. Our hand is on the base plate for comparison.
