Early in his tenure at UPA, Gene Deitch created this short-lived British - and Japanese by dumb luck - mascot, a forgetful young girl whose mother and neighbours reminded her - quite aggressively - not to forget her Kia-Ora soft drink whenever she went out without it.
Aurora, a little cartoon girl with a frazzled ginger hair Aurora riding a sled downhill with an empty basked in hand while her mother calls, "Aurora! Don't forget the KIA-ORA" Aurora as an usherette, carrying cartons of Kia-Ora orange, lemon and golden orange squash on a tray down a cinema aisle. On the screen: "Aurora says- "don't forget the KIA-ORA CUP SQUASH"" Ads for Ribbon Juice starring Aurora's unathorised Japanese counterpart, Ribbon-chan, designed almost exactly like Aurora but wearing a large bow

11/31 - PRESENT

today's art is an homage of sorts to one of my favorite webcomics
a humorous four-panel strip involving my OCs done in the style of the webcomic Normalsville by FreonCat Panel 1: Zack is sitting on a couch in the Puz Studios breakroom. Austyn goes up to him and says "Hey Zack! There's a little gift for you in the fridge!". Zack looks up at her and says "Oh. Cool." Panel 2: Zack walks up to the fridge and is about to open it. Panel 3: Zack, having opened the fridge is staring agape at the "gift" inside for him. Panel 4: Puz, who has been stuffed inside of the fridge unwillingly and looks panicked, says to a now enraged Zack "Zack I am SO sorry dude, there was supposed to be a cake slice in here for you but Juice shoved me in here an hour ago and I had to eat it." Zack, furious and with his claws out, responds by shouting "I'M GOING TO KILL THAT ORANGE SON OF A BITCH"
