Twin Peaks S3 special FX are certainly dodgy by 2017 standards, but they also look completely handmade. There's an intent there totally in keeping with Lynch's style.

started to rewatch Twin Peaks S3, now I can tell Lynch was going for an 18 hour slow burn from episode 1. He loved letting that camera linger on people way long after he should have cut, exponentially increasing the weird tension he specialized in
