working on this browser extension was pretty fun, and it's by far the most extensive I've done 😊

check it out - it's the best way to back up your AI chats!

best feature for the geeks: the JSON exports give you the same format as the openai/claude/gemini API would 🙃

We built a little tool for ourselves, then decided to share it with everyone.

💬 Meet ChatStash, a free browser extension that automatically backs up your ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini conversations directly to your device.

they launched the nonsense lawsuit, and now it's getting messy (no surprise)

plus they've always had a thing for attribution (not wanting it), so this is right up their vision

@Strava is so fucking petty

AGI is here

try "is there a seahorse emoji?" to find out

it's 2025, and python just released a version that supports multi-threading

why some people take python serious is beyond me

can we agree on whether to use `@` or `#` please?

we need more alpinejs out in the world

it's weird to me that when a [extremely small] minority in a democracy doesn't get their way, extreme actions "must" be taken

it's normal that you don't always get your way in a democracy

oh this rant is epic 😂

"if you're the kind of m-fkr who will create sloptok, you are not the m-fkr who should be in charge of OpenAI"

would you like to improve your rating on Trustpilot?

this is what the inside of your shower thermostat looks like

2 chambers for hot and cold, twisty knob mixes the inputs to create the right temperature

left is new, right is ~8 years old and broken 🔧

If you're running redis in any shape or form, please take a moment to upgrade it 😬

can't remember the last time I saw a *10.0* CVSS score

built a browser extension for Firefox, submitting it to the store

Firefox complains if you leave out the `data_collection_permissions` that specifies what user data you collect

it also complains if you leave it empty

Firefox really wants you to collect user data 🫠

OpenAI's dev day felt the same as Apple's announcements for the last few years

"meh"

working with codex as a test, and noticing it doesn't say "You're absolutely right!"

which is nice, but I also miss it - because it's making so many mistakes that I have to correct it on 🫠

OpenAI's codex does not know about OpenAI's API (specifically the response_format param)

god I wish Cloudflare's R2 web browser was better

trying to delete an accidentally uploaded node_modules directory, 25 files per time, like a chump

using OpenAI codex as a test, and it's cute

wanting to 'propose a design with the stakeholders' - so cute

I see all these people on the big subs of Claude/GPT maxing out their limits each day

yet, I can't seem to max out my regular limits, but still build more than I can ship

my strategy of "f*ck $200 p/m for 1 provider, I'll take 3 $20 p/m providers" is working

them: I can't access your website because the cookie banner won't close

us: we don't have a cookie banner (b/c we're using Plausible), send a screenshot

them: sends a screenshot of a completely unrelated website

🤦‍♂️

security "researchers" :

please stop using [unsupervised] AI to detect "security issues" with websites looking for bounties.

these have been affecting open-source projects for a while (i.e. curl), but now they're also being used for bogus website reports 😬

Sentry remains one of the GOAT'd open-source projects that you can self-host

the upgrade process is just so sleek, fault tolerant, and the UX is 🧑‍🍳 👌

just upgraded a 2-year-old instance, with a few steps in the version ladder, but without any issues
