You should be concerned about the rate of authors leaving publishing. Especially from marginalized communities. This year I have seen so many authors just pack it up and go. And it's only getting worse.

It's wild that I graduated from two universities and I give a monthly donation to the students of one, yearn for it, wrote a book set at it, would love there, would get married there, wish I was there right now, and for the other I don't even cheer them on in university challenge.

Fairly! Not a lot of social interaction plus a 24hr work rota (for the company I work for). I'd prefer something steadier and bookselling was an absolute dream (even at peak season!)

When I started bookselling I was on £8.91/hr and... listen... I'd go back to that hourly rate right now if I could get back into the bookselling world. (I'm currently on £13.06)

- gone for coffee with my parents
- had Halloween cereal for breakfast
- made myself coffee in a pumpkin shaped mug
- had soup for lunch
- carved out time this afternoon to proofread
