First time I met him a few days later he said he was “not there yet” and not entirely comfortable with that categorization.
Little did we know, of course, but was a wild story to cover that season.

I will never forget asking him while we were in Tampa, shortly after he “took over” if he was making any progress towards a new building. Showing exasperation, he actually said “If I have to build it myself I will build it myself!” Guess he meant with LEGO sets.
