I'll admit the casting was spot on, but was there only one Doctor in that whole institution? I'll give it another look since it's October and it's Marvel first horror/superhero movie. I enjoyed Marvel's other cross genre movies with spy-Winter Soldier and heist-Ant-man themes.

Except identifying object of said search, that days date and some legalese those are the only thing a warrant consists of. Administrative Authority gives them powers in public spaces like libraries, parks, streets. Basically they're trying to pass off their mission statements as warrants.

Arnim Zola was a team player to say the least. I remember when he sacrificed his valuable asset Doughboy in Captain America to save the Red Skull for the cause. In Winter Soldier he sacrificed his life (in that body) just to stall for time to get Cap and Widow in Hydra's crosshairs.

I am a latecomer to Colleen Doran's work but I was instantly drawn to her ornate craftsmanship. Then I saw some of her images of the Sandman. Just a few dabs of ink on paper. Proof that real talent isn't shackled to any medium or style. I'm really enjoying Avery's posts this Autumnal season. Cheers.

Hammers and Tongues a book about Hollywood Gossip during its heyday was tough on talent. Was anyone spared public scandal or who's peer didn't bad mouth. Claude Rains by all accounts was well liked. a generous actor and a decent fellow. Sounds like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

For night 11 of Spooky Season: “The Invisible Man” (1933) starring Claude Rains and directed by James Whale. Great special effects and I like the story of how Claude was auditioning for something else and James Whale was in the other room, heard his voice and rushed over to cast a confused Rains.

Magneto sealing him up in that bunker felt good didn't it? Just air and water. Did Magneto know the super soldier serum would keep him alive but starving? or was it time to find out. Being frozen kept Captain America young. I believe the serum kept him alive.

That's just a misdirect. The real reason women like jackets isn't warmth and comfort. It's pockets. Sans a purse the best thing for carrying female must haves. Wonder Man stopped wearing this because he was tired of holding Ms. Marvel's eye liner and Wanda's lipstick, color Scarlet Harlot.

Ok I've mention movies from the 70s Burnt Offerings and 90's Sleepy Hollow. Now this 80's movie "Halloween III Season of the Witch" is not a great movie, it's not even part of the great Halloween film franchise despite the Roman numeral. But this gif made from it's footage rocks.

I'm sorry I missed the word 80's when I recommended Sleepy Hollow. Now I'm hard pressed to think of something better than Catseye. Burnt Offerings with Bette Davis. Karen Black and Oliver Reed is about a Haunted House undergoing a unique restoration.

I just watched Sleepy Hollow again after 25 years. I forgot what a great cast it had beyond the two leads. Miranda Richardson and Christopher Walken for starters. Great Halloween fare. SPOILER Martin Landau doesn't last long but is worth mentioning.

I was shocked to find out Sheree North was slated to be the next big studio sex kitten. Back when Marilyn Monroe was merely problematic. The idea was scrapped after her death. While I think Monroe's strengths were comedic, North effortlessly displayed the type of pathos Monroe struggled to convey.

LOL Sometimes I wish the JLA was as good as their maxi-seres. It was Marvel's Watchmen. (In story and tone only, I mean it was very good but not Moore good.) The Mink, their catwoman allegory was a waste to kill off in one issue.

I want to see more this Black Widow. Her brief appearances in "The Twelve" barely scratched the surface before becoming completely predictable. This would be a good start.
