the multiple connections to Minrathous throughout the game during my first (SD) playthrough (it's the site of the opening and ending of the game, the big act 1 decision involves it, you always meet the inky there, etc), made me feel even more personally involved in that run!

My first two playthroughs were a SD then a Crow, so I always was connected to the big act 1 decision; my current run (MW) was the first time I didn't have that personal connection to either city (which makes it both easier and harder). I really enjoyed >

thanks! it reminded me of your posts about liara's reaction returning to thessia, which i think she got a lot of stick for; of *course* it's gonna hit harder for her going there, in the same way it's a bigger deal/more personal for shep to go back to earth than to palaven or thessia or wherever

(also just to be clear, i'm not saying the other non-mercar origins wouldn't *care* about what's happened to the people and city of minrathous, it's just a different feeling when it's your own home that you've been trying to protect, and even thought you had, and then. well.)

#dragonage it's so interesting how different the DAV ending seq feels with a different rook origin - rook ingellvar arriving in minrathous for the endgame's just like 'damn sorry that happened ig' but they can just. go home after, to the *only* untouched/untroubled by the war(s) nation in thedas. >

but for rook mercar that's their *home*, and it just gives the whole ending sequence a different flavour. a bit like shepard returning to earth at the end of ME3; even if shep themselves didn't grow up there, it's still 'home' in a sense

i would have to get it sent on from UK to jersey so an EXTRA round of shipping and customs 😩 but even without that it's brutal. i was hoping it would end up on the BW store, their shipping is a (tiny) bit less, but the neve one never did so probably not 😔

it does make me wonder if everyone else's are also that long and i've just missed a bunch of stuff...? I know here in playthrough no. 4 i've still been hearing new-to-me stuff... with 21 different party combos and variations for decisions etc i for sure haven't heard everything yet
