NEW: I just got off the phone with a Warner Bros. Discovery spokesperson who confirmed Warner Bros. Games is included in the Netflix deal.

I asked whether they would discuss plans for the division, but they refused to elaborate further at this point in time.
Yes, Netflix is acquiring Warner Bros. Games
A Warner Bros. spokesperson has confirmed the video game division will be acquired by Netflix alongside its wider streaming and television business.

Deleted my original tweet to avoid potential confusion over the fate of Warner Bros. Games AND have pinged both Netflix and WBD to clarify what (if anything) the acquisition means for the video game division.

It was notably absent from announcements on both sides.

Last RT of the day on this and your reminder to support journalism any way you can because solid, well-researched, and engaging reporting is how we amplify voices, hold people and corporations to account, and hopefully showcase the stellar work of developers around the world.

We asked Epic why Horses has been banned while titles like Fell in love with coser 8 (PEGI 16) and South Park: The Stick of Truth (PEGI 18), which both include sexual and adult content, remain available on the Epic Game Store.

Here is the response we received:

Writing something tangental to this as we speak but, yeah, there are like a handful of full-time journalists left in the biz at this point and I imagine most are trying to avoid burning out while covering this colossal hellscape of an industry.
I admit I no longer know who these “Game journalists should [verb noun]” articles and takes are supposed to be for. Game journalists should have jobs again! And the ones who remain should be allowed to do more than regurgitate guides for pennies on the word! But if wishes were horses, etc.

Exciting news! Thanks to our sale, we've rocketed all the way up to over 4,900 paying subscribers. This means we can cross another goal, a regular columnist, off our list. We plan to sort out the exact specifics in our own time, but for now, who do you think would be a good fit?

We did something different with the credits for Demonschool. We used this format: name, title, lengthy description of what they did. Often you see credits in games where you don't know what the credited developer was actually responsible for. We wanted to give people proper, actual credit.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said the closing of the deal "crystallizes the value of our world-class IPs and marks a pivotal milestone in Ubisoft’s ongoing transformation."

Latest Ubisoft financials confirm the company reduced its global headcount by around 1,500 employees over the past year.

That isn't entirely down to layoffs (of which there have been quite a few), but still underlines the scale of the downsizing at the Assassin's Creed publisher.
