Update: Germany saved us from chat control for now by blocking the majority at the EU council, and so it won't be voted on tomorrow. 🎉 At least we got some more time before AI starts scanning all our private messages!

On the 13-14th of Oct, the EU will be deciding on the state-sanctioned mass surveillance law (drafted by anonymous lobbyists), which would allow an experimental AI to scan all private messages of EU citizens.

Doesn't take a genius to see the ways in which this Orwellian law would be open to abuse.

Usually, to offer such a critique, you'd need to have actually watched the piece of media. Critiquing without doing so renders your arguments pretty empty and makes you look silly.

Found my favourite autumnal tree I've come across on my walks so far! 🍂 It's absolutely huge and golden – I'm certainly glad I looked up. It reminds me of mallorn trees in autumn!

Also, the Quenya name for mellyrn, malinornë, is so beautiful. ♡

Yes, it works incredibly well with the sea theme! I love how it makes me think that the Númenóreans are kind of flowing and living with the sea. I mean art nouveau is all about nature, flowers, and organic shapes, but it also works so well with water in this case.
