#Tolkientober Day 5: Hope

For this prompt I could only think of the most truly hopeful scene in all Tolkien adaptations for me🖤🤍

Yes! I think it's lovely if there is time to breathe in books, and with Tolkien's lush descriptions, it feels like a warm hug to read about characters travelling and experiencing their surroundings.

I'd love to see more travelling sequences in motion picture adaptations, too!

I know some may find reading the LotR trilogy frustrating or boring because of all the walking 🐾, but as someone who adores walking in nature, there's just something truly comforting & cosy about it, almost like you're reading a travelogue that focuses mainly on describing the loveliness of nature.🌿

Tolkien's writing: "Away eastward the sun was rising red out of the mists that lay thick on the world. Touched with gold and red the autumn trees seemed to be sailing rootless in a shadowy sea. A little below him to the left the road ran down steeply into a hollow and disappeared."
