Another massive Tory government failure, the public loses while the donors get paid.

It’s time to #TaxWealthNotWork

UK energy efficiency sector in crisis: New NAO report finds a staggering 98% failure rate for external wall insulation installed since 2022 under ECO scheme.

It's a tragedy for the households suffering from poor installs and a massive setback for public confidence in the insulation industry.

The Spectator (owned by GBNews owner Paul Marshall - estimated wealth of £800 million) doesn’t like taxing wealth fairly.

I wonder how they got to this editorial decision?

Let’s tax wealth fairly, fund front line services & make hope normal again.

Polanski is talking nonsense about wealth taxes.

We are being sold a false story that nature is the enemy. That newts, bats, snails and spiders are somehow responsible for the so-called housing crisis and a blocker to economic growth. This is a deliberate lie - using a cynically chosen group of species that could be found in a witches cauldron.

The wrong homes in the wrong places.
How is that helpful to anyone except donors to the Labour Party?

Short term governments only see short term goals.
It’s environmentally and economically disastrous.

Many on the right will try and belittle and undermine what’s happening.

But here’s the truth. Tens of thousands are joining Greens. Polls are at record highs. People are just starting to feel hope again.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

No export payments?
Do any of your grid suppliers provide an export tariff.
Here in the UK whatever we export during the summer pays for our winter imports.
Obviously we don’t get as much sunshine as you guys but I would have thought that you’d need to import something over the year?

Innocent people are already being killed.
Do you think you’re still living in a democracy?
What happens when the midterms fail, which they will.
When will you wake the fk up and start organising and fighting back?
This isn’t going away.
You’re living in 1937.
It’s coming.

This is what I don’t understand.
Why people aren’t arming themselves and fighting back? They should be fighting for their lives…. Because that’s what’s at stake.
Ice agents are relying on the fact that people will generally go quietly.
They don’t want to risk getting shot.
It’s time to fight back.
marcfrance.bsky.social
At least that’s something I guess.

It’s a grift.
If they’ve get it to work by 2060, that’ll be approximately 100 years that they have been working on it.
At a cost of how many billions?
When you could have just installed solar panels and batteries instead.
We are such a stupid species.

Does the report mention that this is due to man made climate change?

He could wear a white sheet with a pointy hat, light a burning cross on the White House lawn and ride around on a horse shouting hang the N*****s from the nearest tree, and they would still claim he wasn’t racist

One can’t help but feel that the weak link in all of these recent cabinet sackings…., is Keir Starmer.

Maybe he should be the one to go.

If the government was serious about ending fuel poverty, it would be installing solar on every viable roof alongside battery storage in every home, starting with those in the worst fuel poverty.
We have the equipment to eradicate fuel poverty, it’s a political choice not to implement it.

Reform UK want to take public spending down to 35% of GDP — that’s a £275 billion cut, the equivalent of shutting down the NHS.

The Green Party knows the only way to rebuild our communities is by investing in our public services, not running them down and flogging them off to the private sector.
