There are whistle package assembly nights all over the city this week. Most also have Amazon wish lists so that you can contribute supplies. The whistles are proving effective in alerting people to either flee if they need to or gather to protect if they have that privilege to do so

The “Catholics” on the SC are not your average Catholics. They are either Opus Dei or another ultra conservative Catholic sect. I am a practicing Catholic from Chicago and I don’t even recognize the ideas that these people preach. My 12 years of Catholic school certainly taught me the opposite

Again today, local police outside Broadview just aggressively arrested more protesters. Tough to tell exactly how many, but looks like 3-4 people were just detained.

This happened 10/10 in Chicago. A US citizen, not that it should matter, was hit by ICE. So they threatened witnesses with automatic weapons & violently dragged her from her car. We can not allow this to continue @quigley.house.gov @govpritzker.illinois.gov @duckworth.senate.gov @durbin.senate.gov

When she came to Chicago, area businesses refused to sell them meals or allow them to use their bathrooms. She went on TV to actually cry about how unkind we are. Chicago is a kind city, but we will take care of our people. Kidnap our people and you can eat warmed up instant ramen.

There are *very few* details on this available at this time. Treat all rumors with caution until verified.

This Sun-Times article cites a DHS statement that should be treated, as always, with extreme skepticism:

According to the Department of Homeland Security, a woman allegedly "boxed in" federal authorities, who opened fire.

What we just saw: state police not only assisting federal agents with crowd control out here, but also protester arrests.

All morning, this has been a nonviolent demonstration. Have not seen a single crime from this crowd (not that that would excuse the brutality).

border patrol agents are holding a line against protesters side-by-side with broadview police, oak brook police, illinois state police, + the cook county sheriff’s office.

feds made a huge push to clear everyone from harvard street, which ice uses to enter and leave the broadview detention center.

moments ago: pandemonium.

a huge mass of border patrol agents, led by greg bovino, pushed the crowd of protesters and started grabbing people at random.

leading up to this, folks were just calmly standing in the grass, following isp’s orders.

Out here at Broadview ICE detention center. Illinois state police are doing “crowd control” of the protest and I just saw an individual detained and put into a van that said “Cook County Sheriff” on its side. It drove away with the person inside. Seems like police collaborating with ICE.
