To remind, 1 GW costs $60 billion to deploy.

OpenAI has made deals for 26 GW over the past two weeks.

So ... that's a $1.6 trillion commit for a company that had H1 revenue of $4.3 billion.

Picture how big the Hoover Dam is. An absolute unit. The Hoover Dam has a power capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW).

The solar farm that the Admin just cancelled could have produces 6.2 GW of power. That's more than 3 Hoover Dams.

I know these details are tiresome, but Japan did not, in fact, just elect its first female prime minister. Sanae Takaichi was elected leader of the Liberal Democratic Party and is *expected to become* prime minister. But someone else is in that job right now.
