This made me think. I like romance in my stories, but what I really love is *relationships* in my stories. Found family is also huge for me....see the Twisted Luck series by Mel Todd with an aroace MC. And there's a spicy book I love because the platonic BFF side story was so moving to me.

Every ace author I know is very aware that romance sells books. It can be a hard thing to grapple with. Not every ace author is comfortable writing romantic relationships—and even if we are, it's not great to feel like we HAVE to or else we're shooting ourselves in the foot. (1/?)

I've yet to see a single person and think "hot" or "10 out of 10" or "I'd like to hit that". Sex with someone rarely crosses my mind and when it does it's usually more along the lines of "could i force myself to with.... ew no".
In that respect, I can and do identify as asexual.
However, with someone I'm in love with, it's completely different, and I might as well be a "full fledged" sexual, but only with that one person. Full fledged meaning actually desiring sex, both for the physical and emotional aspect, being attracted to that special someone, and feeling sexual arousal in terms of wanting to do something on multiple levels instead of simply the biological reflex or "ugh not again".

Tron: Ares thoughts:
I went into it with a pretty good idea of what to expect and I didn't think I would like the plot, just went for the visuals and music. The second half fit that more or less, but the first half was a BLAST. I regret not seeing it in 3D. I do not regret buying souvenirs.

100% how I feel at my job as a web developer. Even beyond the ethical issues, people just keep telling me "do what you love"...as if anyone is going to pay me to do any of the things I love when AI can do them for free. 🤷‍♀️

I tried to create my first route in Pokemon Go and it didn't go so well. 🤣 Either recognize that I did in fact walk to the park where the pokestops are to pick a starting point OR give me a pokestop at home so it makes sense. I wouldn't complain about the latter!

First thoughts on the new Taylor Swift album:
- The Fate of Ophelia, Eldest Daughter, Wi$h Li$t and CANCELLED! are early faves for me
- I had to listen to Wood 3x because what 🤣
- The title track was not at all what I was expecting 🤔

I was sad because I was supposed to see Leigh Bardugo tonight but the hospital took ALL DAY to get my mom discharged.

And then I realized how dumb it sounds trying to rush off to a fun event when your mom is just getting out of the hospital and really needs you at home. Get a grip, me.
