Today a new article examining banning of commercial sunbeds in the UK has been published by the BMJ.

The Government is currently developing a 10- year Cancer Plan & at Melanoma Focus we are calling for action to tackle sunbed use to be taken.

Monitoring your skin monthly will help you notice any new moles or lesions or changes to your existing moles or lesions.

Researchers at the LVR University Hospital Essen are looking to improve the way we assess melanoma patients’ quality of life. This is very important for doctors to be able to effectively diagnose melanoma & continue to follow-up patients.

Up to around 40% of UV rays can still pass through clouds, even on cooler, grey days.☁️

As we head into autumn, don’t forget: if the UV index is 3 or above (usually March–October in the UK), we recommend protecting your skin with sunscreen.
