Happy for Jake Moody but man, is it annoying to watch a division rival get a crappy win after this past weekend.

As a player you take the loss and move on. As Mullings said, some people have to learn how to lose. But one team not drawing a penalty all game while the other has a TD overturned well after the fact and multiple 3rd down stops negated by questionable penalties is a ref failure.

Just caught up on yesterday's game and, yeah, Branch shouldn't have gotten into it with JuJu. This team is already down a ton of their secondary and have big games coming up. At the same time, I get being annoyed by JuJu and this Chiefs team especially in a weirdly officiated game.

Yeah, the least surprising outcome of the weekend when you have to play the Chiefs on the road without most of your secondary, but still a final gut punch of a game. At least there's no more epic baseball games for a couple of months.

Yeah, I don't want to be overly negative but this feels like a game that'll end with the expected coda for a weekend full of teams I root for from Michigan. At least the hockey teams did well.

I don't really dislike this Chiefs team in the abstract but suffering thru a game in which a bunch of BS breaks their way is exhausting.

Yeah, I don't believe in conspiracies but it's hard not to see a cool TD taken off the board because the refs decided they messed up after the fact and that mistake would hurt the Chiefs.

This drive feels like a college one in which the defense is just getting ground up. Nothing really flashy but just pushing the defense back.

Wink was always a short-term guy at DC and I think it's time for Moore to move on from him; the lack of adjustments at halftime here was as bad as I've seen. I think there's been a vocal contingent who always felt mad that Harbaugh left and felt Moore wasn't fully vetted and want a real search.

As an addendum to my earlier skeet, people trying to act like UM should fire Moore like PSU is doing with Franklin have almost a negative understanding of time and coaching performance.

Firing James Franklin mid season is absolutely not how I thought this season would go for PSU.
He needed to go for everyone involved but it's going to likely be a massive amount of money spent, and I do wonder if this will only add to the push for PE money.

Yeah, my memory of Harbaugh's 9 years at UM is seemingly different than what a chunk of the fanbase seemingly experienced. Moore needs to make changes with his staff and he'll be judged by those decisions but it's so weird seeing the response to these predictable struggles.

Yeah, a team can need improvements and not be absolutely falling apart the way some seemingly hope in order for Michigan to go sign Johnny Unbeatable.

Luckily it's not really here but reading the post-loss comments about Moore and the football team reminds how everyone seemingly memory-holed most of the Harbaugh experience and instead remember basically 2.2 seasons where they won a lot of games and literally nothing else.

If you had told me UM would give up 24 points during the competitive portion of the game I'd say it was a decent defensive performance but it decidedly was not. The offense having issues against this defense bothers me more. This isn't a good defense and my guess is ND runs them over next week.

I'm way more worried about the DL. OL isn't great but they're competent and have guys who are growing. DL not being able to consistently fit runs all year is killing them.
