While out on a car-free errand, I passed my Councillor @michaeljanz.bsky.social on a bike path in our riding. Michael walks the talk and shows his commitment to active transportation - even on a seasonably cool fall day in Edmonton.🍂🍁🍂 #yegbike #yegcc #yeg #SeenOnABikeRide #AutumnRide

Alberta adding insult to injury for people on AISH. The provincial government may save some money with these changes, but it will be the cities that absorb the costs of more people ending up on the street. #ableg

Huge public education protest this morning outside the kinsmen.

As municipal election advance polls open today, lots of animosity towards both Danielle Smith and her UCP proxies like Tim Cartmell and his Better Edmonton Party.

Why wait? Start now.

Tim and his double-dippers could return the big corporate donations and run as independents.

They have until Monday. But they don’t serve the many, just the big money so they won’t.

A local landowner sparred with Marciano over not receiving the company’s lease payments on her land. Marciano said she needs to apply for reimbursement from the government.

“It’s still our tax dollars,” she said.

Ashborne used to be a non-profit seniors centre.

Now, it's "Alliance", a for-profit REIT. And look whose massive signs showed up out front.

This is exactly what Tim and his big donors that have contributed hundreds of thousands to his campaign want everywhere.

Imagine if we taxed the rich appropriately??

The report also notes increases in childhood poverty levels, with about 1.4 million Canadian children experiencing poverty by the end of 2024 — the highest level the country has seen since 2017.
