It's probably up there because of Disney World, and Universal, etc. which I'm guessing has a higher frequency of one time visits among American families than New York. If these are listed in "most visited" order, I'm a little surprised SF is in the top 4, but I guess it too has a tourism history.

to at least me. Physical store options were Waldenbooks and Hobbytown at the time, and the stock was never robust. Not sure what drew me to Star Frontiers, but it wouldn't be till like maybe '87-88 that is start paying attention to the ads and reviews in Dragon that painted a wider ecosystem. 2/
