Absolutely. There's already a movement of comics now under the tag #iceoutcomics, and these stories should be read and shared far and wide

@seemoreevil.bsky.social once again dives into the deep abyss with a comic book starring ICE. 1900hotdog.com/2026/01/nerd...

Um...did you know there was an ICE comic book? There was an ICE comic book.

Here's an interview regarding said comic: www.cbr.com/doug-wagner-...

Not to bring this up again, but I mentioned this WATCHMEN theory that fella was going on about to my writer friend, who actually has written a book on WM, and he said he's heard that idea bounced around for *years* -- so that guy yesterday may not even have been the first to suggest it.

Preeeeety sure Tuesday's Comicsky nonsense is going to provide some grist for my still-operating blog mill soon.

Worries me just a little when I see someone has "saved" one of my posts. Like, what is it being saved for? Is someone building a file on me? Will this eventually become blackmail? WHAT IS HAPPENING

The last part of my 2025 comic industry predictions commentary is up! That's a lot of typing!

Sometimes, when I'm alone, I'll worry about how I'm a flawed human being unworthy of love or respect, but then I'll be reminded that vast numbers of people aren't planning how to celebrate when *I* die, and I'll feel a little better.

oh no
Sorry, I just can't enjoy the insane antics of a self-absorbed, greedy orange guy anymore. Or Larfleeze.
January 21, 2026 at 1:22 AM
Remember when we as a society had gone Larfleeze-crazy? I miss those days.

why I have no idea who that could be
Heck, there’s some nut out there who actually LIKES the Spirit movie, but he’s a sweetheart, so we let it slide.

So the lesson learned from Today's Main Character, Comics Division: it's okay to have a weird take on a comic, even if people disagree with it. That's fine. But if you're an asshole about it, don't be surprised if the other kids don't want to play with you.
January 20, 2026 at 10:27 PM
And muted. I'm all for being weird about comics, but not, like, pushy and aggressive about them.

The original novel, that takes place in "modern" day (1980s), and is about comic *strip* characters who talk in visible word balloons. I love the Zemeckis film, but would be fascinated by a faithful adaptation of the book.

I watched and/or read all three properties when I was a kid, but man, even as a young Mikester I did not care for Woody Woodpecker. That was the "no other cartoons are on" cartoon that I would watch.
Still find it funny that the Ninja Turtles are as old now as these characters were when this drivel was farted out, and only one of these characters is still in use in any meaningful way today, and even then only as a cereal mascot.

I'm making enemies with my "blue Superman costume is terrible" post.

I REGRET NOTHING

Ah, the Diamond website is back up today, and apparently they're still taking orders. I guess I still have to pay 'em that invoice that's due next week.
The Diamond Comics website seems dead, lots of stories about Diamond shutting down for good on Dec. 31st...and yet, I was chatting with a Diamond sevice rep and still receiving invoices and reorders as of Jan 15th. Unless it was...a G-G-G-GHOST

Speaking of terrible costumes I love, here's a trio of them that I absolutely adore. Part of me wishes they still wore these.
January 19, 2026 at 8:21 PM
*almost* went with this one myself
What's a comic book costume you know is terrible but you love it anyways?
January 19, 2026 at 8:17 PM
Here's a post I made about the Blue Superman about 15 or so years ago, with a title that probably isn't true anymore.
