Finding out that when Peter Ustinov played the "Old Man" at the end of LOGAN'S RUN (1976), he was about two years younger than I am now.

So I'm looking up STAR WARS: KANAN - THE LAST PADAWAN #1 in Overstreet, and it does one of those things where *technically* according to its indicia, the book's name is KANAN - THE LAST PADAWAN, and therefore is in the Ks and not the Ss.

From Men of War #3 (Nov. 1977) by David Micheline, Arvell Jones & Romeo Tanghal: how to kill a juggling Nazi.

Just flipping through one of the old CRACKED mags that I remembered having as a kid (#163, from 1979), and totally forgot about this great panel in the MORK AND MINDY parody drawn by John Severin.

This illustration from a 1982 issue of CRACKED is probably responsible for somebody somewhere having a Mandela Effect-style "E.T. used to have pointed ears!" memory.

I got a couple of these books when they were new, and scored more a few years later. I love these things. (There was a similar book not from this series called GALACTIC ALIENS that's worth seeking out too.)

Say what you will about CRACKED, but that is one hell of a cover.

Just cornered the local market on 1980s CRACKED Magazines. (I'm keeping the video game one.)

I look at Jaime Hernandez's work and think "it took decades of effort and practice to know exactly how to put down each perfect line." I mean, when this issue came out I was just blown away by the cover. Every line in just the right place.

Remember when we as a society had gone Larfleeze-crazy? I miss those days.

The original novel, that takes place in "modern" day (1980s), and is about comic *strip* characters who talk in visible word balloons. I love the Zemeckis film, but would be fascinated by a faithful adaptation of the book.

Speaking of terrible costumes I love, here's a trio of them that I absolutely adore. Part of me wishes they still wore these.

What’s a comic book costume you know is terrible but you love it anyways?

Oh, there they are.
