Trump rightly deserves credit for pressuring Netanyahu to avoid escalation and deescalate the situation in the Middle East. Both Republicans and Democrats gave him that freedom, setting aside partisan political objectives. Starting at 3 min www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_Qo...

Part of what makes a protest movement successful and enduring is that the protest events are fun. J6 would have been quite different if it was just a group of dancing frogs outside the capital.

Russia is engaged in a reflexive control campaign against the US to convince America not to send Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. Like transfers of other systems (HIMARS, F16s), they allege it will cause escalation that has yet to materialize

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.

‼️According to calculations made by OSINT researchers, the amount of Russian tanks in decent condition remaining in storage is ZERO.

◾️1656 are in "poor" condition (about 60% of them probably cannot be restored).
◾️1231 Russian tanks are in "worse" condition, according to the researchers.

2024 was an anti-incumbent year around the globe largely because of forces beyond any one lawmaker's control and I feel like that's where all analyses should start and I don't really know how much more complicated it should get than that.
