I know some dislike Gruenwald's take on Korvac but I think he's right. Korvac's flaws made his downfall inevitable even if he came close to winning like in that What If? issue. Korvac is very egotistical, paranoid, prone to extreme wrath and all sorts of issues. He'd never make it as God

My mind went to Gruenwald's Quasar depicting (an alternate) Korvac in a thinking man pose. I doubt Alex Ross had this in mind but I do love when Korvac becomes this quasi-mythic god despite being a man very much not of that world

I think what makes Stirner enduring isn't really that but that there's oppressive dogmas that possess you and force you to do their bidding instead of them working to better you. Think nationalism, racism, misogyny, gender essentialism, God, etc. Those things require sacrifice, not beneficence

I'm not the same way, I never really enjoy going back to Montana to visit family and I always try to weasel out of it or get out as far as possible. I pretty much consider Colorado my home, I've been here for well over a decade

Definitely although he did call for an insurrection against the state and societal norms so he had something there. I know Gustav Landauer took a pacifist interpretation of Stirner's insurrection to try and rearrange German society. It didn't work but it goes to show there's something revolutionary

You could say that. Marx dedicated the longest portion of the German Ideology to him and he really tore into Stirner. The biggest irony of that section is him raking Stirner over the coals for not being individualist enough! It's a bit funny honestly

He was a Young Hegelian and Engels' peer. He had a proto-communist set of beliefs although he took umbrage with other socialists of his time being a little too wrapped up in abstract nonsense like Feuerbach's "humanity should be the new God" and whatnot
